Here I am with little Charlotte overlooking a waterfall somewhere near Warkworth! I am totally bursting with inspiration, here's one I've already started based on my memories of swimming here on Christmas Eve.

Off to New Zealand for Christmas and New Year! I am so looking forward to meeting my new little granddaughter, just 1 yr old - and giving her a big squeezy granny style cuddle!
I am flying on the 20th Dec - so the studio will be closed from the 19th until my return on 14 January 2012.
So Happy Christmas and New Year to one and all, thankyou for your custom and your visits and chats - all very much appreciated, by me - and the dog! xx

Cowbridge Food and Drink Festival was this weekend - another triumph of organisation, well done to all concerned.
It was fantastically busy - I had lots of lovely customers, it was great to see returning customers popping in for a chat - and of course, great sales!
I'm knuckling down to it with my long list of commissions to be ready for Christmas.
Next stop - Cowbridge Reindeer Parade, 27 November

Busy Busy Busy MEEEE!
Did a Pastel Demonstration in the week to Redditch Art Circle - what a great bunch! It was worth the 6 hour round trip.

"It may be winter outside, but in my heart it's spri -ing" (she sang, tunelessly)
Well, eternal summer really, in my studio and gallery.  And that's less to do with the actual heat, or lack of it, and more to do with the colours of my paintings.
Picture me in my studio in an ancient barn, hunched over my easel, next to a plug in heater, with my fingerless gloves on and countless layers, honestly, I look SO much thinner when I get home and start peeling them off! But hey, once I get cracking on a painting, I just don't care about the cold.
Commissions continue to keep me busy, as soon as I complete one, another magically attaches itself to the list.
Can't be bad
xx

Oops, just realised how long it's been since I updated this page, sorry everyone.
It's been a fabulously busy year with commissions, and I've even managed to generate some new work for prints, which I've previewed this weekend at our Cowbridge Food Festival.
Excellent feedback means they will be featured on the front page under New Releases as soon as I can get my flying fingers on the case.

What a busy week with demonstrations and commissions!  How lucky I am to make a living from my art.

Just returned from the Spring Fair, NEC Birmingham.  It was a much busier show than last year, thank goodness!  I think the Art and Framing section benefited from it's new position in Hall 3 - more central.
I've picked up some terrific new galleries, plus a couple of great opportunities for the coming year.
With that plus the shedload of commissions that I've put off to do the show, looks as if it will keep me Very Busy this year!

oOo

I will be showing at the Vale of Glamorgan Show on Weds 19 August 09.  Come and see me if you're going - I will be on an outside pitch showing off my lovely signwritten van, with a great big awning attached - if it rains, we'll be just fine and dandy - I'll even be able to put the kettle on!
I will be promoting some great special offers for show day only, demonstrating painting, and will have something for the kids to do too!
